As a part of South Dakota Public Broadcasting’s efforts to support THE WAR, a ground-breaking PBS documentary, we collected the stories of South Dakota citizens who experienced life on the homefront or in military service during World War II. All stories are part of the DakotaStories web site hosted by SDPB.

How to Tell Your Story:

1. Send your written, videotaped (DVD recording), or digital audio recorded story to:

Digital photos on CD-Rom are also encouraged.
OR Type up your story and e-mail it to Steven.Rokusek@state.sd.us.

2. Call SDPB toll-free at 1-800-456-0766 to leave your contact information. A staff person will contact you at a scheduled time and record your “Homefront SD” story via telephone.
