Disabled American Veterans August 18th!

On Saturday, August 18, SDPB visited the Chapter 1 of the Disabled American Veterans in Sioux Falls. Nearly 20 attendees watched the screening, shared their stories, and participated in a discussion about THE WAR. Much of the discussion centered on how society today differs from that of 60 years ago, and how attitudes and cultural norms are different, and yet, the same. The DAV has a fabulous facility and they went out of their way to decorate the screening room with vintage posters and memorabilia from World War II. A special thank you goes to Gene Murphy and Dennis Adams of the DAV for organizing the event, and to those who attended and shared their thoughts and stories.
