Emil G. Mutschelknaus, who spoke German, was assigned to guard German soldiers as they cleaned the grounds at the Dachau concentration camp after it was liberated. Mr. Mutschelknaus commented, "There is no way to describe the smell. it was horrible." (Photos provided by Emil G. Mutschelknaus)
